Power of methanol
Why methanol power works for you
Methanol is rapidly emerging as a cleaner, efficient alternative to conventional fuels such as natural gas, diesel, marine fuel oil (MFO), marine diesel oil (MDO), marine gas oil (MGO) and very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO) for power and heat generation.

Powering your business
With global availability, and safe and easy storage, distribution and use, it provides a versatile, cost-effective solution to powering your business and meeting emissions reduction targets, along with the security of supply and pricing stability.
Key benefits of methanol:
Low emissions
Methanol burns cleaner than gasoline and diesel, producing almost zero soot or sulphur oxides (SOx), and reducing nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions by up to 80% – which is reduced to near zero with water injection or Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). An exhaust-based CCS system also removes CO2, minimising environmental impact and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Futureproof
Conventional methanol can be blended with increasing amounts of lower carbon (blue) and green methanol over time, allowing you to meet evolving sustainability goals without needing to change your engine or turbine.
Safe and cost effective
As a liquid at ambient temperatures and biodegradable in water, methanol is safe and easy to handle; converting existing infrastructure to methanol is also simple and cost-effective.
Reliable global supply
Backed by Proman, one of the world’s largest methanol producers and distributors, Power32 has access to a consistent global methanol supply chain, offering flexibility and price stability, even in fluctuating markets.
Ease of storage
Methanol is stored safely in tanks at multiple locations around the world today, including at over 120 ports. Because it doesn’t need refrigeration or pressurisation, it is easier to handle, transport, and distribute than many alternative fuels, with only minor modifications required to the existing liquid fuel infrastructure.
